chapter 12

Steve asked me if i ever went back. I told him no the sun was shining bright on the sand and the waves were coming in. Steve said I learned that if you want to get somewhere you just have to work like hell until you get there. I told him it will be real nice when i can think of somewhere to go. He ask me if i wanted to go for a beer that night. I told him no i lost the taste for it. Steve was relieved because he thought i was going to end up like my dad. Steve was very excited that he saw me. He waved to me as he left i waved back but i wasn't going to meet him for dinner. I figured if i didn't see him i would start forgetting again. But it has been taking me longer than i thought it would.

chapter 11

We went home. I just sat next to him and smoked. I started thinking about the last rumble. How the motorcycle bot was just standing in the middle of it laughing. I got sliced up real bad in that rumble with a kitchen knife. Just sitting there reminded me of that. Then my dad came home i asked him if my mom was crazy he told me their marriage just didn't work out. Then i told me and acute perception does not make you crazy. however sometimes it drives you crazy. He explained to me that not even my brother was crazy. Later that night i went with my brother he broke into the pet store. He release all the animals then the sirens went off there were red lights everywhere. We were running they shot my brother. Then they threw me up against the police car. I was looking right into its lights and i didn't see red all i saw was grey. I guess i went into to shock. They took me to the hospital.

chapter 10

I Spent the rest of my day in Benny's waiting for the motorcycle boy to go by. People starting to come in after school i didn't feel like playing pool but i told them the story about what happened. They looked at me like they didn't believe me but then when they saw the lump onmy head they believed me. Then patty came in i asked her if she was looking for me she told me no and sat in a booth like she was waiting for someone. then smokey came in and sat by her. I asked him to go outside with me and talk he told me he didn't wanna fight but i didn't wanna fight either we went outside and sat on a stoop across the street i asked him if he planned what happened at the lake. He told me he did. I wasn't really that mad i had to give it to him it was a smart move. He told me if gangs were still around he would be the leader not me. I didn't get mad at him for that either it was like i lost my anger. Smokey went back inside. Then i saw B.J Jackson he told me had Cassandra as a sub i guess she cleaned up her act. After that i left i found the motorcycle boy at the pet store. He was looking at fish. He told me the fish were all in their own bowl because they would kill each other if the could. He said the were called Slamese fighting fish. We stayed there untill the owner told us he was closing up.

chapter 8 and 9

We were watching the motorcycle boy play pool in a bar i have no idea how we got here. I do know that we ended up drinking more once we got there. Then we left the bar. We were walking down the street and we got jumped some guy drilled me in the head. The next thing i know is that someone is holding me up it was the motorcycle boy. I thought Steve died but he didn't. Then my brother helped me home. The next day my head hurt so bad i went to a doctor he told me i had to go to the hospital. I wanted no part of that so i went to Steve's house. Steve got beat up by his dad for staying up all night and drinking i felt bad for him. I suggested to Steve that we should follow my brother around. Then i realized that my hearing was gone like my brother. Steve told me i should stop flowing the same road my brother is. Thats the last time i saw Steve for many years

chapter 7

We went down town that night across the bridge. Steve came with us. On our way across the bridge he surprised me a took a drink of vodka. Then we asked the motorcycle boy what everything looked like since he was color blind. He said it was like watching black and white TV. He said he could kind of remember what colors looked like from when he was a kid. He told us he stopped being a kid when he was five. Then we went to a movie it was a skin flick. Steve left in the middle of it so me and the motorcycle boy left. after we left the movie we continued down the street. He told me about how our mother left when i was two. Then he told me that he saw her when he was in california. I was really curious but all he really told me was the she was living with some movie producer. After that we went to a party.

chapter 6

I went into school today and they expelled me. I went in at one and instead of writing me a late pass like they usually do they asked me why i was so late i told them i was sick all morning but I'm ok now. They sent me to the guidance office. the guidance counselor went down a long list of all the things i did wrong. After a little i got the point that i was being expelled. He told me i was going to go to cleveland high school the next morning. When i heard that i new i was in trouble Biff and his friends run that school if i step a foot in there i would get killed. After i left school i went to a couple places. then i went to wait for patty at her bus stop. When she got off the bus she was pissed at me she told me she knew what happened at the lake and she never wanted to see me again. After that i was upset so i walked around town. I saw the motorcycle boy in the drug store so i went in and talked to him he was looking at magazines. I asked him what he was reading he said nothing i was just looking at this picture of me. There was this really cool picture of him in one of the magazines.

chapter 5

Me and steve talked for a little bit then we both went home. On my way up the steps i ran into cassandra. She is the motorcycle boys girlfriend. I don't like her at all so i tried to ignore her. She started talking about the motorcycle boy i told her he didn't like her. She said i no especially now that she was doing dope. The motorcycle boy hated junkies he told me if he ever caught me doin dope he would break my arm. When i went into my apartment the motorcycle boy was there. After a little bit my dad came home and they were talking. Then the motorcycle boy left. I was so tired i fell asleep. Smokey came around midnight and we went drinking at the lake.

chapter 4

I went to school the next day i was bleeding off and on. I like to go to school because i see all my friends. once i got to school i found out steve wasn't there. I hope it wasn't because he snuck out. I watched the basketball team practice all the time i enjoyed it. The basketball coach asked me to beat up some kid because he was a wise guy. He said he would give me five bucks. I told him i couldn't because of my cut. I met up with steve i found out that his mom was really sick. After that i tried to steel some guys hub caps but he caught me steve was with me so we were running away as fast as we could after about to blocks we lost him. Then i passed out steve got really scared and started crying.

chapter 3

After steve had to go home. I went to my girlfriends house. She told me i couldn't come in because her mom wasn't home. We got into a little fight but then she let me in. We watched TV for a little bit but then i fell asleep. Thank god she woke me up at 730 because i had to fight Biff at 8. She doesn't want me to fight anymore but i don't care i still do. After i left her house i met up with my friends. Then i went to the lot. Biff ended up showing up. I was really excited for the fight. Before the fight Biff pulled a knife that made me really mad. Someone found a bike chain and gave it to me. We ended up wrestling for the knife i got it out of his hands. I beat the crap out of him. Then the motorcycle boy came. I got distracted and he sliced me. After that steve walked me home the motorcycle boy came to my house to help me for a little bit then he left. I wanted to be just like the motorcycle boy.

Chapter 2

I was hanging out playing pool at benny's against smokey. Then midget came in and said that biff was looking for me. It made me mess up. Midget told me biff said he was going to kill me. Everybody thinks biff is real tuff i do not think hes tuff at all. He is mad at me because i said something about anita in school but i didn't say nothin but the truth. Then midget told me biff wanted me to meet him in the vacant lot. I told all my friends they better be there to have my back. Then my friends pissed me off so i left benny's. Steve followed me and we were talking. I really like steve hes a good friend.

chapter 1

I ran into my old friend steve today. Steve is here to go to collage. He told me when he gets out of collage he wants to be a high school teacher. I didn't see him in like five years. I told him about my scar i got in a knife fight. He asked me if i wanted to meet for dinner. I was really happy to see steve but he made me remember everything.
